"25th Anniversary – Help Us Help Our Kids Campaign”
Canyon Acres has initiated a $5.5. million campaign to build long-term organizational stability ($ 1 Million); support capital and program expenses not subsidized by annual contributions and government grants ($3 Million); and launch an endowment fund ($1.5 Million).
The 25th Anniversary Campaign will:
- Provide new and innovative programs – such as finding families for children who have never had a family of their own
- Ensure the Ranch continues to be the best place possible for our most emotionally troubled and severely abused children
- Position Canyon Acres to meet the needs of children and their
families for generation to come

“Children’s Circle” Annual Giving Program
Canyon Acres annual giving program - Children’s Circle - is the cornerstone of charitable giving for Canyon Acres. Gifts are generally unrestricted and allow us to direct these gifts to the programs and services most needed by our children. Donations are made by individuals, service groups, companies/corporations, and foundations and may be made in the form of cash, stocks, real estate, life insurance, IRAs, etc. Donors to the Children’s Circle receive a formal acknowledgment of their generosity.
All annual financial donations totaling $1,000 or more qualify as Children’s Circle gifts.

“Hopeful Child” Monthly Giving Program
To ensure extra care for the children every day all year long, join our special “Hopeful Child” Monthly Giving Program. Monthly “Hopeful Child” donations may be made by mail (check or credit card) or by written authorization to charge your credit card monthly. “Hopeful Child” monthly donations are relied upon for a variety of items that are used to help the children feel special each and every day. Every contribution, regardless of gift size, is important to caring for Canyon Acres children. “Hopeful Child” donations often range between $25, $50, $100 or more per month. Gifts totaling $1,000 or more per calendar year also qualify as a Children’s Circle Gift.
Simply note “Hopeful Child” in the memo section of your check and we’ll add you to an important group of caring individuals who support Canyon Acres kids year-round.
For convenience, you may wish to have your credit card automatically debited each month.

Include Canyon Acres in your estate plans and be recognized in the “Forever Kids Club”. Please be sure to notify us that you have included Canyon Acres as a beneficiary in bequests, wills, trusts, gifts of personal property, remainder interests in residences, commercial and real property, life insurance policies, retirements plans; transfers of appreciated securities, etc. and you will be included in all materials and publications that acknowledge our “Forever Kids Club.”

Memorial and Tribute Gifts
You can memorialize or honor someone through a gift to the children of Canyon Acres. Canyon Acres will notify the honoree of your gift by sending a personalized card to your honoree and provide you with a tax-deductible letter for your records. United Way
Canyon Acres Children and Family Services is an Orange County United Way funded organization and supports undesignated giving to the Orange County United Way annual campaign. Employees may also choose to designate Canyon Acres to receive their United Way contributions.

Matching Gifts
Many corporations now support non-profit organizations such as Canyon Acres by matching employee contributions. These matching gifts can provide much-needed financial support to Canyon Acres – at no additional cost to the employee. Be sure to ask your company if they have a matching gifts program, and, if so, request a matching gift form from the human resources department when making your donation to Canyon Acres.
Another great giving idea: Some companies also monetarily match volunteer hours donated by their employees to Canyon Acres. Be sure to ask your company about matching your volunteer hours.

Donor Recognition Policy
Thank you for considering Canyon Acres in your charitable giving. Your support is very much appreciated. Unless anonymity is requested, donor recognition is extended to all individuals, corporations and foundations according to the level of the gift. Mentor a Child
These special relationships help the children in immeasurable ways. If you can commit to visiting a child on a regular basis (minimum two visits per month) and would like to help him or her by offering your friendship, support and encouragement – then mentoring may be for you! Mentors listen and are available to the children and help them learn to trust a caring adult, find renewed hope and grow in their own confidence and self esteem.
Prospective mentors will undergo a thorough interview and background check before receiving coaching about successfully mentoring a Canyon Acres child.

Order Take Out Food and Raise Money for Canyon Acres
Canyon Acres has partnered with LiveOnTheGo.com to create a fun and tasty way to donate.
