As a safe haven for the most abused and neglected children in the child welfare system, this 4 ½ acre facility provides a home in which the children can begin to heal. Located on a ranch in Anaheim Hills, Canyon Acres’ Residential Treatment Center provides 24-hour care and treatment for 30 emotionally disturbed children between the ages of 6-12. At “the Ranch”, children learn and grow through the use of Day Treatment, Therapeutic Horse Riding, Expressive Arts and Recreation Therapy and other specialized programs. More importantly, they learn and grow due to the love and care of a dedicated staff of professionals who work with and support these children throughout their days and nights.

The Residential Treatment Center is licensed by the State of California as an RCL-14 group home – providing the highest level of residential care and mental health services available in the state. From the staff to the grounds and facilities to the activities, the Canyon Acres’ Residential Treatment Center is a special place for children to come to heal.
