The Blue Ribbon Gala is Canyon Acres' annual premier fundraiser to benefit the abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children of Canyon Acres. The black tie gala features dinner, dancing, and a live and silent auction.

The May 4, 2008 Blue Ribbon Gala, themed "A Garden Serenade...Creating Harmony for Children", featured dinner, live and silent auction, a wonderful testimonial from a former Canyon Acres Child, and dancing to the sounds of Tino's Orchestra. The gala was held in the beautiful Garden Pavilion at the Hyatt Regency Irvine . During the night, Canyon Acres presented the Jim Murray Memorial Service Award to community leaders who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in supporting Canyon Acres' mission to provide homes, care, treatment and supportive services for abused, neglected and emotionally troubled children and their families. This year's recipients were Sebastian Paul and Marybelle Musco(Individual/Family), A. Gary Anderson Family Foundation (Community/Service Organization), and The Ingram Micro Philanthropic Committee (Corporate).
